"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8
His love for us never changes, because He, Himself, never changes. My personal struggles often leave me wondering if what I've done has pushed Him away, or if the problems in my life are proof that He's abandoned me for good...but every time I call out to Him, He's there; filling me with hope, and peace, and strength. And reminding me that He still loves me...and always will.

This is so true. Believe you me, the only reason God sends us trials is because He loves us. They grow us closer to Him, closer to Christ. I know some of you may be thinking, "If God wants us to be happy, and if He controls everything, why doesn't He just take away our suffering?" I'm no expert, but I believe Christian joy is not what we as humans think of joy. Here is an excerpt: "Joy is something that is unaffected by circumstances. It is a state of mind and an orientation of the heart. Joy is deep. It is a settled state of contentment, confidence and hope." Here's a [link] to a website were you can read about Christian joy. I apologize for the late response, but I am in full agreement with what you've said Thank you for sharing that, because honestly I've never thought of joy in that way, but it makes total sense! And thank you for the link! God Bless!
This is awesome I also find it kind of funny, like Jesus chuckling down on us and shaking His head at our worries, as we act as if there is even a SLIGHT possibility of Him not loving us. But His love is stronger than our sin, as we were made from love, by love, and for love. And love isn't all about being romantic, as society says. Love can be anything; it's one of the most undefined, (and misused) words in the English language. God's love, agape, is the highest form of love. It's a perfect, completely unconditional love based purely on selflessness, and is indescribable. His love never fails, and no matter how hard we try, we can't ever fully turn away from His love
